Daphne Ray – President - has a background in the security and fire alarm business.
She became involved in the security and fire industry in the 1980’s when she joined
Alliance Protection Service. She is active in the community and has volunteered with
several community organizations such as: the Desert Valley Builders Association,
the BIA, and the Resort Community Security Organization. She obtained her California
C10 & C7 contractor’s license in 2005. She is the company’s Qualified Manager for
security. Daphne acquired ownership of the company in 1998 and is the majority shareholder.
Charles Pendleton – CFO - has a BSIM Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management
from Purdue University with an emphasis on accounting and engineering, which he completed
in 1977. His background in electrical engineering led him into the computer business
which he owned and operated a computer networking business for fifteen years. After
joining Alliance in 1990, Charlie obtained his California Contractors License C-7
and C-10. With his passion for audio/video systems he led the company into the A/V
market and obtained his CEDIA Certification as an EST II. Additionally Charlie has
numerous certifications in the following computer systems: Networking and Microsoft
Server, Control4, and Certification Tech II. His combined work history in computer
and security business has made him an accomplished programmer and CFO.
Ashley May – Fire Engineer NICET II - started his career in 1997 as a residential
security system installer on the east coast and progressed to a more diversified
company that provided all types of security including fire alarms, access control,
and CCTV. During his tenure he installed and designed structured cabling, intercom
systems, and entire house audio with a focus on commercial work. When he moved to
Los Angeles in 2006 he transitioned into the sales and design of commercial security,
camera systems, access control, nurse call systems, and fire alarms. Ashley acquired
his California Fire/Life Safety certification and NICET Level II with the National
Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies for fire alarms. Certifications
from this Institution are the highest respected achievements gained in the fire alarm
industry. In 2010, Ashley joined the Alliance Protection team.
Daniel Thillens – Integration Manager - has a background in upscale commercial and
custom homes with an emphasis on integrating Crestron and other automation systems.
Prior to joining us, Dan has worked in the industry for over 25 years with a varied
background in installation, sales, and project management. As the Integration Manager
for Alliance, Dan brings more than 20 years of experience in the custom electronics
industry. Throughout his career, he has held many certifications and licenses; including
California Contractors License C-7, Certified Crestron, Lutron, and CEDIA EST II
programmer. His passion for electronic systems carried him through the early days
as a CWA certified union technician which allowed him to develop "hands on" high
quality installation and servicing techniques. Dan’s involvement in the local construction
market included membership in the Desert Contractor's Association, of which he also
served on the board of directors. With his understanding of the integration project
from start to finish Dan is focused on driving the rest of the team to meet the ever
changing market demands.
Richard Resendez - System Designer – Rick’s family owned and operated a security
business in Riverside county. He has been working in the industry since 1992. He’s
specialized in residential security, commercial security, fire systems, camera systems,
and access control. He is fully knowledgeable on all of the major manufacturers’
products and holds certifications from Bosch, GE, Silent Knight, and Honeywell. During
his career, he has project managed several large scale projects and worked to bring
our jobs in on time and budget. In addition to security, Rick’s knowledge extends
to camera systems including, but not limited to, Honeywell, ACTi, Pelco, GE, Panasonic,
and Sony.
